Can I create a new symbol for character?

I want to make character can use a real shield,which is equiped on right hand ,and can change direction like a hat or armor when the character change direction.

Is this passible?

I think I need to create a new symbol for character.      However , I know too little about AnimState and symbol, and can't find an article to learn. 

 

I also want to make a character can ride in DS.I think that maybe OK since there are one in DST.

I'm going to advise you and say that it is not.

It may seem like that, but it's not really that easy to port. To port correctly, at least.

 

Try looking for something else to do, something easier.
