Russian
Hi folks, I'm new to this forum, though I'm an old-school kind of a gamer. Guess from the nickname where I am from I saw the reference to this game on "LetsPlayPoRusski" Youtube channel, and, after playing the beta for a bit while, I found it surprisingly fun and (though!) addictive. Besides, after reading the game forum, I got the idea that guys who are making this game are pretty smart My respects, gentlemen! Well, besides the greetings, I've got to say couple of things ( as they say in Odessa ) First, an observation ( should be, possibly, reported as a bug if it still exists in the current version ): bee mines are terribly broken. In general, not only "hostiles" or "neutrals" trigger them, but any friendly creature does too. Well, it seems natural, okay. But placing one near a peacefully sitting Mandrake leads to immediate detonation, though a Mandrake is a passive vegetable until you pull it off. But that's not all of it. Sometime - quite often! - that mine triggered by a "friendly" creature does not only explode, but turns into a, literally, bee volcano - producing another set of bees several times a second. Unless you pick it up from the ground, the whole place is about to be swarmed by non-aggressive, but very annoying multitudes of bees. There is something in the code that makes the mine explode, and in the part that should make it disappear after the explosion ... Second, regarding the spoken idea that the food stock must decay over time. Though it seems kinda natural thing, I gotta say I object it because of its "negative" character, for taking something from a player because "otherwise it would be too easy". There is a certain point, actually, after which the game becomes "too easy" - at the moment. But I believe there are other ways to deal with that, too, not by an "arbitrary decision" but according to the way of the nature. On one hand, foods getting stale must lead to the concept of "conserved foods", correct? Means "berries cooked with honey make jam", all sorts of dried meat, salted fish and sour cabbage, right? But not to turn the game into a culinary quest, there is another natural thing that kinda should be there, I suppose. Here it is: similar to the way the "scattered" meat attracts spiders and pigs (and dogs) the unattended crops gotta attract the Beefalos and rabits, big time. If that's going to be the case, then, possibly, it would make a sense to (a) increase the "vegetable seed propagation rate" to something meaningful instead of current 1.5 , and (b) reduce the drop of "arbitrary seeds" from birds, wild or caged ones. Since, as of now, it looks like it is more rational to make one's living on cooked seeds than to bother doing any other sort of food-production activity ... Well, thanks for listening PS Oh and there MUST be yet another kind of natural predator in this game, besides randomly assaulting dogs. Something that lives by chase-HUNTING the living things around, if they are abundant. Maybe a dinosaurs One-eyed and six-legged (or vice versa), a "bandersnatch" thing if you know what I mean. PPS Make the imprisoned or moved fireflies die after a period (2 weeks would seem rational) but re-appear in their "natural" habitats at random places. Otherwise this one is one more "too hard - too easy" clash spot...
