next update?

I'm new to the early access stuff... with the next update coming sometime next week-ish, when will we get info on new content?  Do they just drop all the info on us at once along with the actual update?

Short answer, we get them when we get them. As mentioned in the Shipwrecked Roadmap, the timing would be roughly every 3 weeks starting from the Eye of the Tiger Shark Update. With regards to the exact order of which comes first (information vs actual update), usually the update itself gets published/released for owners of the game to get the latest version first before the update post appears in the forums. That how it was with the Eye of the Tiger Shark Update.

Do note that Bryce has mentioned in the Shipwrecked Roadmap that the schedule are all estimates and may change depending on the situation.
