Problem setting mobs quantity Rare-Default-Often

Hi guys, i'm new here and just started a dedicated server for being able to play with caves.

 

I find some inconsistence when setting the deseable animals/monsters in the server in the wolrdgenoverride.lua.

For example: 1) In some worlds i find very rare the ''chess'' monsters like 2-6 groups of them as ''default'', so i would like more of them (x2 o x3 their normal spawn) but setting as ''often'' will dramastically increase their quantity finding them every ~12 seconds of walking.

 

2) Adding a non-existence like Light flowers as ''default'' in the overworld spawn 0 of them while setting it as ''often'' do it just like the chess monster example above while changing it to ''rare'' doesn't spawn them just like ''default'' do.

 

 

Is there a way to increase the spawn rate into a non-overwhelming one?
