ialebeau
Hi. So when I try to start a new shipwrecked game it won't load. It shows the loading screen for a while then an error screen pops up saying "not enough memory" with the option of closing the game or going to the forums. I can select and play on my existing shipwrecked file but it won't let me start a new one. So if anyone could give me any advice on how to fix this that would be great. I tried uninstalling the game and restarting my computer but neither helped. Zillvr
Hello @ialebeau, welcome to the forums. What does the log.txt file say? It's location should be in Documents/Klei/DoNotStarve. Attach the file to your next post through the More Reply Options at the bottom right of this page. The log should reflect with further details why it's crashing. Zillvr
@ialebeau, that's an unusual log.txt file all the text is jumbled together. Anyhow, from the looks of it, do you by any chance are running any mods when you create a new game? ialebeau
At first I had mods running and I thought that might be the issue. But I disabled them and tried again and it still did the same thing. ialebeau
Alright! I figured it out. I ended up unsubscribing from all the mods I had installed and deleting them from my folder and that solved the problem! Zillvr
Sorry for not replying much sooner @ialebeau though I'm glad you got it fixed. Thanks for reporting back how you solved the problem, I'll keep that in mind for when other people experience the same thing. Have fun, cheers.
