I don't know how it happened ._. but I do know you need Willow for it, you will have to have her lighter out and switched to a different tool, likely on water, it produces light even when you are holding nothing, making night no longer a threat, and allowing you to travel the sea without any need for boat torches or lanterns. and can (sometimes) even allow you to light objects on fire.
