Richie84
Just got my copy of the Shipwrecked expansion last Friday and I have been enjoying it so far. The boats are neat and I'm enjoying all the new content. The machete tool is a nice addition along with the new bamboo and vine hedges that you use them on. I like how the early rafts use the vines instead of having to use rope so you can get to boating right away and travel between the islands. I'm loving all the interesting stuff in the sea. I especially enjoy the jellyfish and how easy they are to catch. I also like that Wigfrid can eat them. I suppose with how easy the jellyfish are to catch you had to put some drawback on them by making them not stacked when uncooked, so that's understandable, but I'm glad you added the feature where they stack once you cook them. I'm loving how much they fill up and it's neat you can eat them raw too without penalty. I enjoy the sandcastle. I think that's a neat addition to the game. It's cute and easy to make and helps out a ton. I was playing as Wickerbottom and gained back a lot of sanity just by standing near it the whole day before it deteriorated. I have to say the game makes a very good first impression and I'm loving how easily accessible all of the new stuff is. You guys seemed to make a very good balance of materials on the starting island, limpets are neat and good starting food, and it's easy to access the ocean quick for jellyfish as starting out food. I also enjoy how you don't need silk for the trawl net, but just some bamboo and rope. I appreciate the ease of this crafting item. I appreciate all the effort you guys have made in this game so far. Keep up the good work and thanks! Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/60415-first-thoughts-of-the-game/ Share on other sites
