The Screecher - Not starting at all - Restart issue 2015

Hi guys,

 

 

I'd be so greatful if anyone can really help me. I would so much want love to play the screecher.

I've baught the Don't stave package including reign of giants on steam.

 

I know there have been a few Topics opened on this issue in this forum. I went through all of them.

 

Here's the problem:

 

- When clicking on the "play screecher" symbol in the main menue it says "please restart in order for this mod to work" I've done that for 5 times in a row. It still keeps on saying that.

 

All the things I tried:

- Installing other mods, activating them, deactivating them in the hopes of maby flushing out a bug.

- Restarting computer

- Reinstalling game multiple times.

- starting either Don't starve and/or Don't starve "Reign of giants" - both didn't work.

- Clicking on the mod menu in the main menu. On some forum here it said, you just have to activate the mod in this menu. It would appear on the left hand side. In my case, there is nothing there.

- I've read through these forums. Some people had the same issue on the standalone game.

- Some forums say refresh the update on Steam, that there have been hotfixes. I tryied that too.

- I haven't seen the screecher mod in the mod folder in my programs folder. 

 

Does anyone have the same problem? Any ideas? I mean really any suggestion, trick or even an answer from a developer would so much make me happy and help.

Although this is a mod issue, I would recommend posting it in the bugs section also since it was made by Klei (they should be able to help you).

Also, I cant find a screecher folder in my mods folder either, even though I think it was there before. Strange.

The Screecher mod is indeed currently having an issue at the moment and it is also currently not showing up on the mods list at the moment. For some reason, it unfortunately got de-listed after a recent patch. Our team is aware of this and we will be looking into it as soon as possible.
We really appreciate your bug report; we’ll try to get this sorted out as soon as we can.
