I already hosted the dedicated server on my Dell laptop but what I want to achieve is hosting a dedicated server on my Dell laptop and playing DTS on my Macbook, especially when I'm away home. But Steam doesnt allow me to launch the DTS on my Macbook, it only allows me launch DTS (the game) and the dedicated server on the same computer. Any solution for this?Thank you. Sherman Posted December 6, 2015 Share Posted December 6, 2015 Yes. Your dedicated server can be run without Steam. Use SteamCMD as described in the Wiki. Your Macbook will then be able to run DST on your Steam account. Remember to forward the ports to your XPS so that the server will be accessible from outside your local network.
