jjconroy Posted December 3, 2015 Share Posted December 3, 2015 I spent the first 2 days gathering resources, then the next 7 rowing around in the basic raft with no sail (no gold for science machine) to find gold. I feel the generation of gold rocks should be increased, could just be bad luck, but this was my third try and I have had some trouble finding gold in 2 out of 3 of them so far. Another solution I may suggest is let the raft have a thatch sail that can be crafted with no science machine as this will allow you to find the gold easier and not have to spend 40 mins aimlessly rowing around. Had trouble finding gold . follow the shallow water around your island to a neighboring one. that way you wont be sailing forever on the open seas just looking for an island.
