Can't play the game AT ALL (SW, ROG, base)

Can't launch Shipwrecked.

  • Keeps going back to the start screen when starting SW
  • Tried playing ROG instead. Game crashed to desktop. No error pop up.
  • Tried playing vanilla. I got this: MfQZ1i1.jpggM42dq7.jpg

  • Keeps getting "Steam was unable to sync your files for Don't Starve with the Steam Cloud" so I just disabled Cloud.
  • I have all the mods deleted
  • Tried running the game as Admin
  • Re-downloaded & re-installed DS
 Help?  :fatigue:

I'd try to verify the integrity of your game first, and failing that try running the game in compatibility mode. Just uninstalling and reinstalling doesn't delete everything, and is probably unnecessary anyway.

I've tried that too. It doesn't work. So frustrating. I'm getting sick of hearing the start screen music. lol  :frown:

ok, maybe i found a solution.

1) go in Documents/Klei/DoNotStarve
2) open the "settings" file with the block notes
3) change the first option (DISABLECLOUD) from "false" to "true"

now i can play, but without my old saves and xp obviusly.. cause they are in the cloud. I don't know if disabling the cloud you delete all saves ecc.. but i don't think so
