Issue Description: Fatal glitch detected: Upon resuming a world in an offline state, you will be considered a new player, forcing you to start from scratch without retrieving any previous state which you are supposed to be. (The world day system works fine, but you have to start from character selection.) Any attempt to recover the previous state of the player failed. This includes server world rollback, re-entering the server online, re-entering the server online and then attempting a server world rollback. I hope this problem is fixed as soon as possible. Thank you. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Enter the game online, and start a server online. You are free to set any settings in any way, except that the server has to be online. Other server settings, world rules, and even mods would not affect the outcome. (Starting with "Wilderness" is most recommended to most explicitly see the glitch) 2. Update your in-game status. Goofing around in any way counts. 3. Disconnect the server. 4. Re-enter the game, but this time, offline. Then resume the exact same server you have just started (in step 1). The glitchy outcome: Despite the fact that you are the exact same host of the game, you are considered a new player, so you have to start from character selection. The changes of the world by your "previous player" remains, and the world clock ticks, but you - "your new player" - have to start from chopping trees again. My example: I started as Wilson in a stupid "Endless" world in which the game rule of the world includes "lots" of rain, "none" of frog rain, "none" of giants and Krampusse, and "summer" as my first season. I survived the first 15 days of the world, which was happy for me, considering that I had dealt with all of the heavy sanity drain and other annoying situations caused by the unending rain. Then, after this August 21st update, I reloaded this world in an offline state (because waiting for the online connection was intolerable for my impatience). I found myself in a character selection, so I chose Wilson again. Then, I was summoned on a jury-rigged portal, with my entire progress wiped, but the world changes retained. DeltaJYK Posted August 23, 2015 Author Share Posted August 23, 2015 I came to the conclusion that so far, the only way to prevent this bug from happening is to open a server online, and resume the server online.So, you should avoid logging in offline.
