Mod Help: Custom Character texture uses item textures

I recently started creating a mod for DST and finally have it loading in game (still wholly unfinished, trying to just get it so I can look at my textures in game as I make them for now) but the texture for some reason adopts a random array of item textures based on if they are near the player in the game. If I'm near a berry bush I take it's texture (albeit chopped up) and if I'm near a pig house I take on the texture file of a pig house and so on and so forth.

I'm like some sort of knockoff chameleon. Any help is very appreciated! Unfinished mod file attached! Thanks!
