Issue Title: stuck in menu fields won't highlight (mac)

Issue Description: when i lchoose anything the launch the game it loads normaly but in the menu i cant choose anything the fields wont light up (mac)

Steps to Reproduce: i kept restarting my game and computer and it still did'nt work (mac)
