Bahger
I did not realise that an agent can recover from being zapped unaided and had never seen this happen before today, despite having played the game since EA. I thought I was doomed at the end of this mission because Decker got taken down within one turn's reach of the exit transporter, with Internationale in there already. I brought Internationale out to try and get her over to Decker to revive him but the two rooms were swarming with guards and a drone, we were at Alarm Level 5 and rising, there was a one-tile doorway that Internationale would have to get through unseen, twice (once to revive Decker, then once again to get back to the transporter) and I started to believe I was doomed, until, after several turns of Internationale outmaneuvering the guards but unable to get close enough to revive Decker with a Medkit,, Decker got up! By now the guards were beginning to disperse so without having to bring Internationale out of the room she was in, I was able to sneak Decker in there and they both made it out. This was my closest shave so far. I have two questions: - I did not realise that an agent can revive unaided. How many turns does this take? - If a guard has overwatch over an agent who revives, will he just zap him again, immediately? Thanks! Cosmicguy21
- Agents who are "Killed", i.e, shot by a guard, drone, hit by lasers or anything else one would imagine lethal, they do not recover by themselves. They need to be given Medgel in order to be revived. They'll also survive if you drag them to the exit and teleport them out; assumably, they're treated in the jet. However, in certain circumstances, namely standing in front of a door that gets kicked down, getting flashbanged or walking through a shock trap (Read: Being an idiot), they are KO'd rather than being "Killed". They'll get up by themselves after a little while, usually a couple of turns. - I'm not entirely certain, but I think reviving an agent in a guard's FoV doesn't immediately has them get shot. I believe they stand up, and from there, moving one tile in the guard's vision gets them noticed, and then moving another tile has the guard pop a cap into them. In other words, reviving an agent in FoVs gives you a grace period until you move. I think. Bahger
Decker was zapped by a guard with a pistol. But about seven turns later I noticed that he was no longer lying prone and that I could resume control of him. If what you say is the case, it was probably a bug. Bahger
If you can be revived by a Med Pack, then the plasma guns are hardly lethal. ebrl
They do die when shot, but it's a 2074 kind of death. HMV
In my first game ever, I swear Internationale got shot and then a few turns later got up on her own. I was so surprised. I had already purchased medgel and was making my way back to her. I could have made a mistake, but I've played enough games to know the difference between getting shot and getting a door kicked in on you. I assumed that she was shot by a super low ranking guard that had a dart pistol or something, and have been waiting to see if that ever happens again. It has not. Yeah, it does not feel like a bug to me but a kind of random "resurrection miracle" that the devs probably delight in coding. Anyway, it saved my campaign, I had no chance of getting Internationale over to him, it was Alert 6 by the end and the place was teeming with guards, who dispersed just long enough to get Decker out.
