gamer45630
Hello everyone I am trying to set up a custom world for my dedicated server and I already have the dedicated server working but the main problem I am having is making a custom world for DST. I have followed the wikia and did the GUI way to generate a world and copied the file and folder to the server directory, but that didn't work and the server world is on default. I then tried the world override lua file in the server directory, but it's still not working. I'm not sure what to do at this point because the server wont pick up custom world settings so any help is appreciated. Dave0522
I had the same issue when I setup a dedicated server. Is the override_enabled set to true in the worldgenoverride.lua? Mine was set to false as the default. If it's enabled you can try deleting the save folder in File Manager > \ServerFiles\DoNotStarveTogether\ and then restart the server. A new save folder will be created and the custom world settings should work...at least it did for me. gamer45630
Well it appears I got it working I used the lua file that's on this forum, placed it in my don't starve server directory, then I ran the server and regenerated a new world and the custom settings worked. Thanks for the help.
