Need some help on misplaced hair

Recommended Posts

Hi, I'm new to modding but I wanted to create a character for a friend as a gift but I'm having a lot of troubles...

First of all I wanted to draw the character as I thought it will be the easiest part for me but Spriter is giving me a lot of problems.

I started to substitute the images of Dleowolf's "Extended Sample Character Template" but when I opened Spriter this was the result:

I didn't know what to do so I just... put everything in place on spriter, as if it would magically be ok, and this is ideally what I was doing:

Yet in game the character appeared as in the first image..

What do I have to do to make it look like the second image in game?

Also coding is really though, especially since the only language I learned was Pascal in school :<

I'm trying my best, but I really don't understand what I'm doing wrong now.

I downloaded the template again and I didn't touch any of the spriters' layers, so that it shows what should happen in-game and I managed with resizing, making them coincide.

This is the result I got after a few hours:

Which I said to me that is a fine result for now, even though I don't know how I'll manage to draw the torso, might be useful if I knew how to work with the layers on Spriter.

But the way it is loaded in-game is this:

The thing I think got everything messed up is that in order to make long hair, I had to resize some files, and matching the others .png with the hair, even though on spriter it looked right, made them instead scatter all over the place when loaded in the game.

Once again I'm asking for help on how to make the sprite look not like a mess.
I'm probably missing something stupid, but I really can't figure out what I have to do.
