Issue Description: Click open button chat to switch the locale to French (UTF-8), and tried to write a few words, but I did not succeed, no error appears, just not written any characters other than English. Just tried to use the CP-1257 and other encoding a variety of encoding, but nothing changed. I love Linux, I would not want to move to Windows 7 or use Wine. Please correct it, but everyone could communicate with each other in their native language. Thank U. Steps to Reproduce: Nothing that could lead to an error, the programmer himself.
