[Crash] - Game Won't Start. Crashes on Launch.

Issue Title: Game Won't Start. Crashes on Launch.

Issue Description: After initial install the game started and appeared to be working perfectly.

Was working through the tutorial and had to do something else, so exited the game.

Now when I try to start the game, I get the initial steam popup and then nothing.

Have tried uninstalling and re-installing the game ... still won't start.

Have tried deleting the settings files and saved games ... still won't start.

Only setting I changed was to enable full screen mode ... that worked fine.

Only successful game start so far was after initial install.

OS is Ubuntu 14.04 64 bit with all current updates.

System AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ 2GB RAM

Graphics nVidia 8800GT 512MB

Video Driver Version: 331.113

Have also installed the game on a Windows 7 Pro 64 bit machine and I don't have this problem there.

Steps to Reproduce: Can't launch game after initial launch
