fancythat1 Posted February 13, 2015 Share Posted February 13, 2015 Bug Submission: Category: General Issue Title: Controller wont disable Issue Description: My husband enabled his controller to try it out. He didn't like it and tried to disable it. Now the game wont disable the controller. Even when he disconnected the controller from his computer, it still comes up as him having a controller in the game. He's disabled it several times now and restarted the game each time. He is going to re-download the game, but I have my doubts as to whether this will even work. Steps to Reproduce: Try enabling the controller and playing for ten or so minutes and then try to disable the controller. Disable-okay? box comes up and only allows controller to accept. Try then to leave the server and change the setting s via main options menu. Try shutting down the game and coming back. Even when entering a new server, he can't pick a character. If all else fails you could try deleting settings.ini in Documents/Klei/DoNotStarveTogether. fancythat1 Posted February 13, 2015 Author Share Posted February 13, 2015 @%1; Scratch that. It went away but when he actually got in the game it was on controller again. :/ This is really weird. He tried a different server and it is on controller. The settings file is back and when he starts the game back up it asks if he wants the controller enabled or disabled. He clicks disabled and is able to go into a server, but when he gets to character selection it's back to controller.If it makes any difference, we're playing on Steam. Any other suggestions? Developer V2C Posted February 13, 2015 Developer Share Posted February 13, 2015 Here's some steps you can try.1) Close the game2) Delete your "profile" file from your documents\Klei\DoNotStarveTogether\save folder3) Unplug all controllers4) Restart the game If your game still thinks there are controllers, then it may be mistakenly detecting some other connected USB device as a controller.
