puningtilde
Ok, so I have don't starve and I'm working on a mod (my first mod) and I read somewhere on here about the mod tools. So I downloaded them ahead of time so that when I finish my mod I can put it on the steam workshop. But now every time I open don't starve or don't starve together, it opens some type of command console. I'm just here asking what it is, if it's normal or if I did something wrong, and what I'm supposed to do about it. It doesn't really get in the way of anything, because when I close it the game just starts like regular. I'm just curious about what it is and a bit worried about if it means something is wrong. Here's a picture of what it looks like: Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/49160-confusion-over-mod-tools/ Share on other sites
Corrosive
The mod tools check if there are metadata files that need to be recreated in the event that any of your mod's sprites/animations have been changed since they were last generated. In my case, Screecher made my game take a few moments longer to start up, so I moved it out of the mods folder into a mods_disabled folder I created. That way it gets ignored when the checks are being done. DeathDisciple
Easier way would be to make file called NOAUTOCOMPILE (no extension) and put it into mod folders of mods you don't want to be checked by autocompiler.
