Issue Title: The mode listed is showing two different things for me and a friend.

Issue Description: For a friend, it will show wildnerness. When I check to see the mode (by pressing tab), it will show survival or endless.

Steps to Reproduce: Play a game with a friend, and the modes shown seem to be different (nearly everytime).
