Some more suggestions

First of all I'd like to thank Klei for this amazing game (I think I never did it before for my shame).

I've played DST every day since I got key four days before and I wanted to share some ideas.

Reading this topic I saw most of them (btw the best way to add map sharing imho is to add ingame item made of papirus which contains map information + I like the signal fires idea), but there still one think I want to ask about.

Please, add more togetherness in DST. People can do everything together, but what is efficient to do together? Hunt Ewecus, break hives (came with this idea just today) and... what else?

I mean I'd like to cooperate but I have no idea how (and why). And I believe it's only new content that can fix it.

 

Some examples:

 

Items that can be used only together. For example, stretcher (I hope it's a right word). Only a pair of players can carry it, but it is extremely capacious. When it's on ground, players can put staff on it like in chest. And it have a limited durability.

 

Night attacks and increased sleeping importance. Sleeping is quite unimportant now, especially comparing to one in real life. Making it much more useful and adding some weak creatures attacking at night will make travelling and camping together more reasonable. Someone will have to stay awake to protect others while they are sleeping (which is quite realistic and will help to make relationships more trustful :D).

 

Traps person can't escape by itself and some kind of triggers someone have to stand on to keep something open. It's more implementable in caves and/or adventure mod, but still.

 

Monsters which are much easier to hunt together. Yep, like ewecus. Slow and vulnerable only from back or fast and guarding something we will desire (stealing an egg from tallbird is so easy that I feel sorry every time).

 

Work that is easier to do together. Two handed saw for fast lumbering?

 

Losing consciousness from starving. Cruel but so multiplayer-ly.

 

It's just examples to show what is needed in my opinion. I believe in Klei so I will wait to see what new ideas they add into game.

P.S. Sorry again for my language. Every post here is hard English lesson for me.
