MarkusM Posted December 16, 2014 Share Posted December 16, 2014 Bug Submission: Category: General Issue Title: Unable to see LAN games Issue Description: I am currently unable to play offline on my local LAN. I've tried hosting and connecting from a combination of 3 different machines with both of our accounts, but the client machine is always unable to see the hosted game. To confirm I've tried on Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 with various combinations of host / client. Each system is connected to the LAN via Wifi, and I've confirmed they can see each other via ping. I've also confirmed that Don't Starve is allowed through the firewall on each machine (the Win 7 one has ZoneAlarm installed). Steps to Reproduce: Create server on host machine and set world to LAN only. Create server. Go in to Play! on second machine and change filters to show LAN only. Developer MarkL Posted January 7, 2015 Developer Share Posted January 7, 2015 What's your network setup like? I've had a similar issue when we setup a network with just a switch / no router. In that case I had to use Windows network discovery to discover the other computers before they would show up in the listings.
