PrincessFourPaws
Bug Submission: Category: Gameplay Issue Title: Cooked Green Cap Malfunction. Issue Description: "A Cooked Green Cap is the product of cooking a Green Cap. Unlike their raw counterparts, Cooked Green Caps increase Sanity by 15. This is one of the easiest ways to quickly regain Sanity. They can also be safely used as vegetables in the Crock Pot." That's the explanation that I've always known for Cooked Green Mushroom Caps. I started digging up a couple around the forest, as I knew Winter was coming and it's hard to gather flowers/making bed rolls can be costly. My plan was to nibble a mushroom or two, every now and then, to keep from getting too low. I clicked to eat the mushrooms and, instead of raising my sanity, it instantly dropped me down to 0. (I lost about 70-80 sanity) Now, I'm being attacked by every shadow thing and it just reached Winter. This is the first this has happened and I, so far, have 21 hours logged on the game. Steps to Reproduce: --) I went to the forest and gathered Green Mushroom Caps. --) I came back to my fire pit, at my home base, and cooked the Green Mushroom Caps. --) I went along my usual tasks: checking bunny traps, gathering grass, looting beefalo manure. --) I went back to my fire pit and ate two of my Cooked Green Mushroom Caps. --) My sanity instantly went to 0, my screen changed colors, shadow beasts started coming after me and I ran for my life. rezecib
@PrincessFourPaws, It sounds like either you accidentally didn't cook them, accidentally ate an uncooked one, or the game bugged and showed them as cooked when they weren't, actually. Sometimes I've noticed that if you're lagging and you pick up an item on the cursor, after a second it will snap back into your inventory, then back onto your cursor later. You have to wait for the snap-back-to-cursor part before you try to put it somewhere (e.g. cooking it on a fire).
