Ora Posted December 17, 2012 Share Posted December 17, 2012 I think this would take away the entire point of the gobbler. The gobbler was implemented to stop berry farmers. He spawns out of berry bushes and eats the berries off berry bushes. If you implemented a trap for the gobbler, people would just line their berry fields with gobbler traps and then we would lose the entire point of having the gobbler in the first place. As for the items dropping into the sea, I believe that is a bug that is on the slate to be fixed. mobius187 Posted December 18, 2012 Share Posted December 18, 2012 Yes, the Gobbler is a solution to the problem of players who hoard too many berry bushes. I know it's done it's job because whenever I think about harvesting I'm going at a slower pace to make sure it doesn't appear. A trap would just reduce its effectiveness as an annoyance you need to chase down to deal with. Of course with a blow dart it's not that difficult.
