Bird nests, bird eggs(food), way to get infinite rocks

So, my idea is to give trees a chance to drop a bird nest. Large trees 5-10%, medium ~5-2.5%, small ~2.5-0%. The bird nest would be a consumable item that when you consume it could yield a bird egg(33%) that you could cook for food, 1-2 twigs(33%), or 1 rock(33%), and maybe a very small chance for a gold nugget(1%?).
