Controller question: How do I see the ingredient names?

Hey guys, I've been playing for about a week (with a controller), and I just discovered that with a mouse and keyboard you can hover over the ingredient icons in the crafting menu and get a tool tip with the ingredient name. How can I get this info with a controller? Beyond the obvious ones, I'm staring at a lot of ingredient icons with absolutely no indication of what they are. Am I missing something obvious?
