Traps for bigger enemies like pigs, hounds and buffalos or even krampus would be nice, but they have should have to be quite hard to craft. Otherwise they would be to strong. I think projectiles won't fit in the game, but a bow or a simply making the spear throwable woulb be interesting. Hoe do you think camouflage is going to work? Do you have to craft sth. to camouflage or is this an ability of a special charcter? This is the idea! How about a hunter as a new character? There have to be a few threads about this idea.

As an avid hunter and lover of wildlife

Variety is the spice of life... and it's a bit of a shame that killing birds and rabbits... as well as other animals... is treated as being "naughty". If you're not already aware, being too naughty gets you a visit from the Krampus (or plural).

Did you have any suggestions? In other threads people have mentioned several animals... squirrels, chipmunks, lobsters, crabs, owls, and bears. The game is a fine line between reality and fiction though... so the number of real animals needs to be carefully considered. Still... having bears would be great, after all, we already have berry bushes, beehives, and fish ponds for them. :)

I think they should expand on trapping animals

Do you have any suggestions? Right now there are 4 ways to capture animals: rabbit trap, bird trap, bug net, and fishing pole. Of course the last two are more tools than traps... like the spear. In the past players have suggested "bear traps" (trap design, not just as a trap for bears), pitfalls, lobster traps, crab pots, and fishing nets.

maybe even add a a projectile to hunt animals

Well in this regard there have been a few suggestions too, with the most popular being the bow and arrow. Other suggestions include the sling, slingshot, throwing spear (or simply being able to throw your spear), and the flintlock rifle.

maybe even camouflage.

There are two items that match this request... the feathered hat and the beefalo hat. The first attracts more birds to you, so it's great if you have bird traps out... even ones without bait. The second, well, does nothing. That will change though, and some people believe it will happen once baby beefalo are added to the game. When that happens we expect the beefalo hat will allow the player to pretend he's a baby beefalo.
