Qazzquimby
If anyone can tell me where I could find textures of turf for use on cards, I would greatly appreciate it. As good as it is, Don't Starve is sadly very difficult to play in a turn based manner at a table. I believe I have solved this. I'm going to try to keep everything very short, but it will turn into a wall of text anyway. One full day is 16 turns long, which each turn representing 30 seconds of play time, or one hour. The board is made up of large tiles, each of a certain biome. Each tile has a face up and face down side. The face up side of the tile shows the three resources foudn on the tile, while the face down side merely shows which biome it is.You start in a face up grassland tile, and all tiles bordering it are face down, so you can choose which biome you want to explore, but you don't know what's in it until you've spent a turn exploring. When you explore a tile, it is flipped face up and neighbouring tiles are added face down, so further exploration can take place. World generation is very fast and emulates DS quite nicely, with biomes both massive and tiny, and appropriate rarity and sizes for each. Each biome neighbouring a tile that is being added gets a D6 roll, and at a result at or above a target, the new biome is of that type. If all rolls are below, two dice are rolled and the new biome is selected. When biomes are face up, the three resources correspond to cards to be placed on the tile. All cards are double sided, with each side acting as a different card. Example:The tile has Evergreens as one of its resources, so the Evergreens card is put on the tile. The Evergreens cards says "[icon of turf] [icon of clock] [icon of axe] for 2 logs and 1 Pinecone, then flip."The flip side of the card is Stumps, and says [icon of turf] [icon of clock] [icon of shovel] for 1 log, then destroy Stumps. The turf icon represents it being a world action, rather than something done from the inventory, the clock means it takes your turn to perform the action, and the axe means it requires an axe, and the axe loses durability. Most cards represent multiple objects. Evergreens represents 5 trees, and each of the logs dropped represents 5 logs. Likewise, most tools have increased crafting costs and durability, to minimize the number of card transactions needed. Most crafting recipes are greatly simplified because of this. Resource cards which are used only to craft are covered in recipes, rather than making you consult a table somewhere. Rather than taking multiple cards to represent having more than one of an object, little tokens can represent quantity, and only one card is need per player. Similarly, character stats and effects towards them are divided to be easier to track. Rather than values in the hundreds, most character's stats are around 30-40. 8 hunger is lost at dusk and dawn, and at dawn, 1 sanity per hour of darkness is lost. Combat isn't thoroughly tested yet, but the current idea is:Each weapon has a weapon score, shortened here to W. Axe W = 1, Spear = 2, Tentaclespike = 3. There are currently three options in combat. They need tweaking. Stand and fightTake damage from each enemy on the tile, then deal W*6 damage to an enemy. Evade and fightDeal Wd6 damage to an enemy, then take damage from each enemy on the tile. Run and fightExit the tile the same way you came in, then deal W damage to an enemy. On a roll of 6, take damage from each enemy on the tile. Enemies have a health score, attack score, and pursuit score, to dictate how many tiles they'll chase you before returning. There are probably things I haven't covered, but that should give a pretty good idea of what I've got. Here's my drafted card. Obviously needs a new background and card art, but I am not an artist. 4 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/37985-dont-starve-board-game-early-version-playable/ Share on other sites

Qazzquimby
Also, if anyone knows the base vomit rate for catcoons, it isn't listed on the wiki and it's need for the catcoon card.
