I'm a novice java programmer who's looking for a few projects to work on over this summer to expand my portfolio and hone my programming skills. A little about me: I'm an aspiring game developer although I've developed little that could be described as a game. This skin idea is one of a few projects that I've assigned myself in order to keep my programing skills sharp and to learn a little bit about how to make certain elements of a game. I thought that creating a few lightweight mods might be a good kickstart for my desired career. About the mod: I want to create a skin for the catcoon mod based off of Catbug, a character in the youtube series "The Bravest Warriors". However, I am in need of an accomplice, a graphic artist specifically (and preferably someone who is farmiliar with Catbug) to design the skin because I have no artistic tools or the skills to utilize the tools available to me. Also, I'm not entirely sure if this mod concept goes against the "Mods containing assets from other games or media are not allowed." rule. Codedheart Posted May 30, 2014 Author Share Posted May 30, 2014 Hey sorry, its been a long week. I've been running through some ideas in my head though. I'm thinking that I actually want to make this its own mob instead of just a skin for the catcoon. I was thinking of turning it into a follower like glommer, although I havent thought of what I want his default state to be (flying or sitting on the ground). I know for certain that I want him to teleport out and, after a few seconds, teleport back in with a 'sugar peas' item as seen here I'm going to need him to have flying animations(static flying), walking animations, and crawling animations. Pretty much every animated reference I can give you can be found here. Thanks in advance man!
