change controls ability in settings?

i posted on Klei's twitter page asking about possibly giving us the option to change the controls of the game. he told me to come here and talk to y'all. im left-handed and i absolutely hate using the WASD keys to move around in games. i was really disappointing to learn that you guys dont have settings that allow you to change the controls. it would be fantastic if you guys would consider adding this to the game. thanks for listening and have a great day!!!

First off, welcome to the forums.

Right now, the controls aren't configurable. I myself have made a little program using AutoHotkey for people using AZERTY keyboards instead of QWERTY.

It's a little bit of a hassle as you have to launch this program and close it manually when you want to play Don't Starve, but it's something.
