Pipes
Hello,If you would be interested in working together with others to make a Don't starve moding team please let me know below. I have many ideas and I can not do all this work alone. The requirements are as follows: Name and Age: Just to get to know each other!Skype: For general file sharing and quick messaging.Steam name: So we can play some other games together every now and then :3Past experience: Have you made a mod before? If so do tell! I would be very interested. No experience is needed as long as you have a creative mind and good spirit! A quick message however long you see fit explaining why you want to join the family Tank you very much for your time and I look forward to hearing from everyone. - Pipes <
seronis
And what do you want this team to do? What is your purpose for it? Different modders team up when they are working on a project. No project = no reason for a team. Try to provide some details on the goal you wish to accomplish. Might also be easier to just start work on the project, start a thread specific to that mod, and ask for advice and help as issues come up. Yes, you are correct when you say that some people are looking for specifics but I am still not in the wrong asking if people are interested to work together. There are people that aren't sure what mod to work on or just want to be apart of something, this post is for those people.
TheDanaAddams
Seronis is trying to help you here - I keep stressing the importance of The Pitch, and nobody seems to listen. You're not going to get any of the big guns interested if you say "I have a bunch of ideas, come help me work on them."You're really offering nothing to us. You haven't said what sort of work you do well, so we have no idea what sort of support you need...You've given us nothing more than a form to fill out to join your little "social club" and didn't even fill out your own "getting to know you" questionnaire, when you've never even posted on the forums, here, before. Large mod projects - the kind that require a team - need specific goals. You need a specific idea, specific roles to be filled... you have to create your own mini dev-team. For an example of how to do it right, look at:http://forums.kleientertainment.com/topic/31636-artists-wanted-for-mod-project/This got me excited. This got me wanting to participate. I had a more in-depth rant, here:http://forums.kleientertainment.com/topic/31080-need-help-with-everything-of-a-mod/#entry407367 I really need to get my notes out, and write up a pitching guide...But half my stuff is packed away in boxes, getting ready to move... and I'm moody right now... I swear I will tear out your spine and beat you with it if you make one comment about coming back when I'm not PMSing.
