ZaCormyr
Ok, So I came up with this idea in the hopes that it will increase the chances that more character body slots (meaning weapon, body, head, feet, belt, back slots etc..) could be added. If screen real-estate is an issue in regards to adding new slots etc... then add an adjustable GUI transparency. It´s a proven method of countering screen clutter. watkinsgamer
what are you wanting in regard to character body slots? i think the only option that isnt there already would be glasses or gloves. ZaCormyr
what are you wanting in regard to character body slots? i think the only option that isnt there already would be glasses or gloves.I´d like to see a belt slot for tool belt and I´m sure we could think of other stuff to go there. And a shoe slot. Winter IS coming and I doubt nice dapper leather shoes would protect your feet much walking around in snow. There´s an idea in another thread, can´t recall who first brought it up, but snow shoes would be cool. And since there´s already amulets in the game, a neck slot would be nice to get the amulet out of your inventory. Other than that.. maybe hands for gloves... but I wouldn´t want it to get too crazy. But regardless of the slot thing.. GUI transparency would still be a good idea since there´s at least one more meter that´s going to be added, the sanity meter. For the slot idea, it could just be an avatar of the character down in the corner which you place the items on instead of having boxes above it for the items. Also, this avatar could be a way of showing the players condition (like being poisoned), if that won´t be obvious on the character him/herself. ZaCormyr
Hmm, I´m not a programmer, but I think it would be easier to add transparency then a completely editable HUD. Although that would be GREAT! I miss that from games like Guild Wars.
