PS4 HUD Transparency Setting

Recommended Posts

Hello guys and devs,

please, can you add an option on the PS4 version to hide automatically after a certain time the construction menu and the inventory (in fact the complete HUD lol) because my Panasonic Plasma TV don't appreciate persistent pictures...

Or maybe an option to set the transparency ?

My plasma tv and other plasma tv owner's will thank you lol

Hmm, I've also got a Panasonic plasma TV, and thought burn-in isn't really an issue in modern sets. Assuming you at least check the map, pause, etc., from time to time, this shouldn't be a huge concern (note that even a semi-transparent HUD presents the same issues as a solid one).

My biggest issue with the HUD is its size - I have a 60-inch TV and I still can't tell the difference between a spear and a pickaxe sometimes!

I have to eat my own words -- yesterday, I noticed for the first time that despite my best efforts, I've gotten burn-in on my almost brand new Panasonic Plasma! This is despite the fact that I'm constantly toggling the menu, running the scrolling anti-burn bar, etc. Pretty frustrating!

Klei, can you please do something about the HUD? Even a simple "fade automatically" or something. Those of us playing on plasma TVs would be greatly appreciative. Thanks.
