Hello, my suggestion is add more kinds of backpacks(with more and less slots and crafting difficult), which probably will at some(s) patch(s).

And a way to "create" a pack donkey... (i know it was already suggested, but I will explain my idea with examples, not just with pet with a backpack).

(my suggestion of a creation using beefalos)

Taming

Taming an beefalo (same way to make friendship with pigs), but not using meat, using some farm food or a crock pot food, a new recipe probably... (that depends if the developers want to make a hard or easy way to do that, i was thinking in somenthing like 1 durian or 1 dragon fruit/recipe using eggpant+corn+carrot)

Storage

A creation of a some kind of "backpack" for the beefalo with 8 slots (should be given to Beefalo, similar to the hat on a pig)

*When using the "backpack" clicking it will open the backpack (like clicking a chest)

*When not using a "backpack" the beefalo will just follow the player (and wont help in battle [optional for a hard way]).

*Tamed Beffalo drop the backpack if get killed

*player is not able to carry the "backpack" if the "backpack" has an item inside, but can be opened.

IA tamed beefalo

*it will follow you while is day and afternoon.

*at night it will stop and sleep

*If you attack the tamed beefalo it will become hostile and will drop the BP.

*If you attack your tamed beefalo close to a not tamed beefalo, both will become hostile and the tamed will drop the BP.

*If you attack a beefalo close to a tamed beefalo, both will become hostile, and the tamed will drop the BP.

*He wont attack mobs who's attacking the player (suggestion for a hard way...)

*It will eat some items on the ground, like the friendly pig when it are hungry and eat seeds/meat/flowers/etc on the ground.

*It will create manure if eat some items.

*Another monsters species will act in the same way against the tamed beefalo/beefalo

*Feed Time: supposing that the player must feed it one time every 3 days, in the afternoon of the second day it will stop following the player, and at night it will sleep, then back for where it was caught (it may drop the "backpack" before back from where got caught).

The IA is almost the same thing of the pigs and the taming idea is the same, so it won't be a hard thing to do for the developers, and the beefalo with the "backpack" will be a kind of a " living mobile chest".

Sorry for the errors of agreement and English.:)

I like the idea of the backpack for beefalo.

That would help the player to get out of his lair and travel.

Though, right now you can travel with 2 backpacks.

Not sure if it's wanted or unexpected, but that's fun and I think shouldn't be removed.

In the past beefalo have been suggested for both mounts and as pack animals, so in this regard the idea has other supporters as well. For me I suggested that the beefalo have a chest strapped to its back (6 originally, but now 9 slots), however this was before the backpack was added to the game. After that I felt the idea of a beefalo pack animal needed more to it than just item storage.

In another thread someone suggested that beefalo could provide milk (i.e. beefalo milk). At the time I suggested the only way to acquire beefalo milk (i.e. by milking a beefalo) would be by wearing the beefalo hat and pretending to be a baby beefalo. Another idea would be that perhaps once you have captured/tamed a baby beefalo it would become an adult beefalo that could in turn allow you to milk it even without a beefalo hat.

Right now the map size isn't so big cause still in developement (problably will come more biomes+monsters, then the map will be larger), so my suggestion isn't so necessary right now...

But when the map get really big that is a suggestion what should be thought...

But the milk idea is good (loved this idea =D), with milk we should be able to do a lot of food recipes like: cheese, cakes, desserts,etc...

(Should come with an food update or something like that XD).
