[MOD REQUEST] Character: Scout

Hello modders and artists!

 

I want to find a way to implement Team Fortress 2's Scout into Don't Starve. Sadly, I'm terrible at coding and don't have the time nor the patience for spriting and animation. However, I'm willing to supply custom voice lines, stats, and perhaps the portrait artwork. Perhaps. Like I mentioned before, I don't have much time on my hands.

Scout

 

"The Force of Nature"

 

"Grass grows, birds fly, sun shines, and brudda? I hurt people."

 

- Is quick on his feet

- Starts with his trusty bat, "The Sandman", and three baseballs

- Extremely talkative and restless

- Is a lightweight

- Is not nearly as tough as he lets on

- Can craft the Scout's Cap

 

Stats:

 

Health: 125

Hunger: 150

Sanity: 170

 

Melee damage: 1.0x

 

Base speed increased by 30%

 

Talkative and restless: Will inform the player if he is running low on health, hunger or sanity, as well as if his body temperature is low. He will also grow restless and begin to lose sanity and talk to himself if he doesn't move for too long.

 

The Sandman:

 

Damage: 28

Durability: 200 uses

 

Slightly increased swing rate.

Can fire baseballs.

 

Crafting requirements: Unknown for now. Ideas would be appreciated.

 

Baseball:

 

Damage: 5-10 based on distance

Durability: 1 use.

 

Will stun targets for a short while based on the distance from the target and the strength of the target. Think of the effect as being similar to that of the sleep dart's, only distance-based as well.

 

Crafting requirements: Unknown for now. Ideas would be appreciated.

 

Scout's Cap:

 

Looks: Scout's default cap and earpiece from the game.

 

Durability: 10 days

 

Negates sanity loss caused by restlessness. Scout will still voice his discomfort, but it will be less of a danger and more of an annoyance.

 

Grants slight sanity regen with continuous movement.

 

Crafting requirements: 1 pig skin, 4 silk, 1 gold nugget

 

And that's all I can think of for now! I'll start writing voice lines as soon as people show interest in assisting with the development.

I'd prefer have A Demoman as a character. Who begins with his dear sticky grenades launcher, a bottle of Whisky, and his immune to grenade jump.

You're talking about the Steam workshop right? I checked it before posting, and the only TF2 characters I could find were Heavy, Soldier and Sniper.
