Hi, thanks for taking the time to look at this thread.

 

 I am new to Don't Starve, and am only a little familiar with coding, I've been messing around in the LUA scripts and textures for the last couple days and I wanted to ask if any of these ideas are possible.

 

Not asking for code, or for anyone to do alot of work here, just general suggestions on if these things are plausible. critisism, and suggestions welcome.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Adja, Beastfriend, an adventuring bi-ped robot includes Intelligence.

  • MORAL

- Does not hunt rabbit, birds, turkey, pig, may not slay spiders or any other naturally agressive creature.

       -- Figure out how to stop PC from damaging creatures and boss monsters.


        --- If player gains kills any creature suffers -33% of total sanity,
sanity loss over time, small health loss over time.

       -- Allow non-damaging magic against creatures and bosses.

       -- Figure out gift system, PC trades items to all NPC for items un-obtainable.

       -- Figure out gift or blueprint, or special character attribute that would allow player to become passive to hostile creatures.

        --- Create gift system to become neutral with hostile monsters by giving big gift, custom blueprint, to King/Boss.

        --- Iodine and Magnesium that is generated at blueprint building..
            ---- Use bee honey pollination script?


            ---- check for creature elapsed time un-damaged by PC on
active block, or number of creatures, building generates material faster.

            ---- Can use to build blueprints that counter things fueled by Nightmare.
 



 - Likes replanting, but consumes portions of her resources while working

    -- Fortify hunger while planting/shoveling/fertilizing/gathering, ect

    -- Walk/run speed -50% for 5-15 seconds depending on action.






UPGRADE PATHS, SPECIAL BUILDINGS AND ITEMS


 - Figure out if these can be "upgrade levels from wx78".
 - Figure out if these can be "custom equipment" or "inventory items" or "leash items".
 - Determine if I can restrict usage by day length.
 - Figure out if these can be "morphs".
 - very high cost, many balanced selections;

 
 
 

    -- Solar power,

  •          +66% run/walk speed if daylight,
  •         campfire 1 log stoked equivelent glow if night
  •         -33% MAX HP

        COST : 5 High gems, 15 Gears, 15 Pyreal
 
 
 

    -- Optical Lenses,

  •         Fortified attack speed,
  •         gains Nightvision if night,
  •         Hunger two times as much as normal while using Nightvision,
  •         Fortified Sanitity during night,
  •         More then 5 little lights and 1 Large light within 1 screen of the player causes 1 Health damage per second.

        COST : 15 High gems, 10 Gears, 10 Pyreal
 
 
 

    -- Eco-Druidic leg and hand replacements,

  •         -33% slower run/walk speed while on grass turf, forest, snow, and marsh
  •         +150% more birds land near the player with more chance of leaving seeds and various new items
  •         free fertilize crops
  •         can polinate flowers, beehives, evil flowers ( with-out sanity loss ), trees, saplings and grass
  •         -66% damage dealt by player

        COST : 6 High gems, 20 Pyreal, 9 Gears
        

 
 

    -- Pheramone sensor and illusionary cloak,

  •         May build Tom's hut, for a cost, creating a tree of life, but turns the player into Tom Bombadil.
  •         While transformed into Tom, players do zero damage.
  •         player may still build, eat foods, gather resources, craft.
  •         Sanity drains very fast, but is countered honey which gives a positive regen to sanity
  •         Tom may puts fighting monsters to sleep, and turn bosses friendly.

        COST : 42 Flowers, 42 Evil-Flowers, Panflute, 1 Berry bush, 1 Grass shrub, 1 Sapling, 1 Pinecone, 6 Seeds, 15 Honey combs,

            1 Butterfly, 1 Bee & Killer bee, 1 Misquito, 1 Tallbird egg, 60 Buffalo poo.


 

 - Add Pyreal, Iodine and Magnesium materials.
 - Create glove and boot slots
 - Add unique monster spawn to skeletons.
 - Add rare drops for crafting upgraded equipment; ethereal, fire enchanted, cold enchanted, lightning enchanted, sleep, and more..

111+    Tom creates 1 Butterfly every 2 Segments, 1 Honeycomb every 2 days. Can pollinate many things.

111-    Sanity drains very fast, countered honey which gives a positive regen
111-    While transformed into Tom, players do zero damage.

111-    Killed instantly if gains murder points or breaks MORALS.
