Maxwell's Rebalance?

So, in *this thread, regarding any more characters in the upcoming final update JoeW said this, as a paraphrase to what Bigfoot said in the **THIS thread.

 

"What are we going to do after the 6 months is over? We aren't quite sure, we want to do a couple characters and some DLC, but the team needs a little bit of a break so we don't have any solid plans just yet".

 

So, basically, we know that we won't be getting a new character in the oncoming update, but hopefully in the new DLC!

 

However, what about Maxwell's Rebalance? To be fair, i've hardly played Don't Starve recently, and I haven't really been keeping up with the community either, but i'm pretty sure that Maxwell hasn't gotten that yet. If Klei decides to wait even longer to rebalance him, well, that would be, in a polite way, really really silly.

 

Especially since it was already really really silly to wait until after the game was launched to fine tune the characters.

 

Now, i understand why it's taken this long - they've been busy. But, we're in the endgame, fellas. This is something that really should be done by now, or at least should be done soon.

 

So, what's the plan here? And what are your thoughts on this?
