Suggestion: Browse crafting menu while paused

This is probably not a problem for any experienced players but I think the crafting menu can be a bit overwhelming at times and being able to pause the game while you peruse the crafting options would be really helpful.

 

When deciding what I should be doing, whether initial planning or just after I've achieved some minor goal and working out what I should aim for next, I'll look through the menu to remind myself of what options are available and what materials  might be worth seeking out or to remember what I was previously thinking of doing next but without being able to do this while paused it basically means I'm wasting time while I'm thinking.

I know that there are various ways to mitigate the issue (another option is just writing down all of the crafting options or looking up a wiki) and browsing at night was what I was doing from quite early on. I just think it would be a useful feature, especially for someone just starting out (I've played about 55 hours now although I am aware that that is still very newbish by Don't Starve standards).

Yeah, but it's an exploit later on. You'd save time and hunger points you previously couldn't.

I really don't see how it could be considered an exploit just to be able to look at a menu (not to actually do anything until you unpause). It'd be equivalent to having a hand written list while paused but without having to physically write everything down in the first place (which seems an unnecessarily old-school thing to do; writing down stuff to plan or work out effects of things is as it should be, copying down a list verbatim not so much).

 

Edit: Another solution (as I see it) could be an option from the main menu where you can see any crafting options that you have been able to see in any game (whether or not you actually crafted it).
