Modding For Chrome

can you please add somthing for chrome to mod if possible because it was only natural to get it their because the sample was there its like jumping off a clift onto a vine one vine that is chrome i jump off take the chrome vine and the vine broke steam appeared 5 secs after i jumped seriuosly i dont wanna pay another 15 bucks for a game i already have can you please do something

From what I've heard, the keys are universal. Meaning you can activate your current key on any other version at no extra cost, whether it be Chrome, Steam, or standalone.

I'll go on record right here and say that Chrome mods just aren't going to happen.  I've probably done more shoe-horn modding on Chrome that anyone and it just isn't pretty.  There's several posts I've made on the subject, but basically, you've got these problems:

 

All game files are in randomly named files with no extension.  These files are actually .zip files, but are (what appears to be) randomly chopped up segments of the PC structure if unzipped.

 

You can actually figure all this out (I did) and get a basic mod forced into these files and they play just fine, but here's the problem:

The second the game gets updated, all files are wiped and created new.  Sending all your hard work getting a mod shoe-horned into those random files, straight out the window.

 

Rinse/repeat.  (have done, many times).

 

It's just too painful and not at all worth the effort.

 

On top of this, the Chrome install does not recognize the mods directory structure, so you have to copy your modded game files directly over the core game files.  Not pretty and as I've mentioned, completely lost at each update and hot fix.

 

Trust me, best to move on and run, do not walk to the PC version.  Chrome DS will only lead to heartache.
