Pops grunts.

"Curiosity comes later. Just go."

Joseph and Pops reach the top of the portcullis, and slowly arise to stand on the rim above it.

[Battal]

Atop the gatehouse, there is a flat area the group guesses would be used to fire projectiles from.  There is a small wooden door leading into the Citadel from this ledge.

[Will]

The groups combined static electricity flows into Violet through the metal. Her hair rises on end.

"****! Everyone, jump to that platform!"

As everyone jumps off of the portcullis onto the platform, a massive bolt of lightning is fired from Violet, and goes straight for the portcullis. The Forgotten are sent flying back by the explosion. The bars are now white hot.

"We've got a little bit more time now. We need to think of something quick!"

[Battal]

Some of the Forgotten are blown to dust by the lightning strike.  They take a while to reform as their particles sort themselves out; but soon they are back to climbing.

 

NOTHING BUT PAIN!  A WASTE, A WASTE!  DEATH!  DEATH!

[Blewcheese]

Pops shudders, glancing at the Forgotten. He carefully begins attempting to climb the fortress wall, hoping he wouldn't slip.

(Erm, I guess I didn't explain that well enough.  The Citadel has a tall fortress-like structure that houses the door and porticullus.  The group are on top of that structure, as is the door.)

(Climb.)

 

The group soon reaches the fortress's roof, gasping from their long climb.  While the gatehouse was massive, the Citadel still towers imposingly over them.

"COME ON GUYS! YOU ARE NOT ALREADY WORN OUT!"

"Just chill Snow."

(but I'm on the inside battal. )

[Battal]

(You're on top of the gatehouse now.)

("Battal Logic")

"Can they get us up here?"

[Ellebelly24]

"Of course they can, Bones!"

*Snow starts pacing, trying to come up with ideas*

[Battal]

(Maybe go through the door?)

[Ellebelly24]

(I thought it would've been locked, like usual.)

*Snow rams into the door, opening it*

[Blewcheese]

(What is even... *deep breaths*)

Joseph and Pops follow after Snowfall.

[Battal]

The group enters a large, dim chamber.  The only light comes from small, slit-light windows in the walls.  Everything is covered in a thick carpet of dust, and cobwebs mask the intricate carvings and runes.

[Percival]

"Filthy."

 

Fabrico swings his cane to clear the room of dust and cobwebs, but his attempts make it worse.

[Blewcheese]

Joseph marvels at the room, occasionally brushing the dust off a part of the wall. Pops looks for a way up.

"This looks exactly like under my grave!"

Trent wraps himself up in cobwebs.

[Percival]

"You are disgusting."

 

Fabrico hits Trent on the head with his gem cane. Hard.

*Snow just walks straight, ignoring the group*

[Percival]

"Someone have a candle? I can't see much in this darkness."

"I don't have any eyes, but i can see fine."

Trent wraps up more spiderwebs.
