"Why, that truly is gallant."

Pain tears through the group, dropping them to the ground one by one.  Wisps of shadow drive through them like spikes, causing no visible damage but hurting all the same.

"'Oh, don't talk that way!  There's a little girl here!'  You had better cover her ears then.  You see, your little friend Sertuni is fine.  He's right here, in fact.  Want to speak with him?"

A misty form on Satoshi forms before the group.  He is bound by multiple chains covered in thorny spikes.  He still has all his injuries from death, and appears very confused and alarmed.

@Will , if you want to voice him go ahead.

"Yeah, I know. And I do not care. It does not pain me to see old friends, because I know they are dead. I realized that you leave old friends behind and meet new friends. It's difficult, but it's just the way of life. And you obviously do not realize that."

Instead of being furious, the voice laughs.

"Forget about the old and move on to the new?  That's sweet.  But, I'd suggest you get out anything you need to say to your old friend, before you forget about him because he's...now what's the term you mortals use?  'Passed on'?  Wouldn't want anything to be a secret, now would we?"

More tendrils drive through Joseph, causing him to yell in pain and fall.

"I never said to speak, Joseph.  You need to learn your matters."

"And you, girl.  Didn't you ever learn to respect your elders?"

More spikes drive into Snowfall, flinging her to the ground and pinning her down.

Cold laughter echoes through the canyon.

"Do you think I care about your rights, Joseph?  Do you think that reading the latest copy of 'Civil Rights' is going to make me drop dead on the floor?  Because if so, you're going to have to rethink your battle plan."

"How brave.  You're lucky I need you alive for the main event..."

More shadows wrap around Joseph's neck, slowly crushing his windpipe.  He gasps for air.

"Perhaps a bit of discipline will make you a little more appreciative that I haven't killed you yet."

Joseph's form starts to violently change, from a large spider, to a jackelope like Wigg, then to a huge red hound made of blood.  Joseph falls back to the ground, human again.
