<I am going to die.>

They swarmed from the shadows, never-ending.  He stood on a thin bridge over an endless chasm.  They poured onto the bridge from all sides, howling for his blood.  He fought  as hard as he could, but it was too much.  His weapon falls from his hand, and the beings swarm in on him.  Refusing to die by their hand, he spreads his arms and falls backwards off the bridge.  As he tumbles into the chasm his eyes and arms explode with firey light...

The robot suddenly comes out of the house, holding the potato.  It has a worried look on its face.

"I DO NOT KNOW  WHO OR WHAT YOU ARE, BUT JUST TAKE IT!  TAKE IT AND GO!"

The robot then throws the potato at Joseph, then runs into its house.

Power coursed through his veins.  His body was pure fire, blazing bright enough to illuminate the entire cavern.  It was dangerous, he knew, but it beat dying.  And it was fun.  Fun to give in to this power, this pure strength.  He smashed the bridge, grinning as the stone broke like paper beneath him.  They fell, the monsters that had once brought on so much fear, so much injury, now unable to stand before him.  No, not unable.  Unworthy.

He was the hunter, them his prey.

*Snowfall keeps running towards the light. It starts to get brighter, and before Snowfall could turn back, she realized the light was coming from fire. She falls with a thud and a crack that could be heard from throughout the tunnel. She was dying of searing hot pain. It was like her body had turned against her. Her head was throbbing, her blood was boiling. She couldn't scream because her vocal chords were dissolving, she couldn't cry, her tears evaporated when they reached her skin. She was starting to see stars, and her heart was beating like a jackhammer. The pain was unbearable, yet she couldn't move because she was paralyzed. So she lies there alone, in pain so unbearable, her heart was starting to give out. Her heart was starting to melt*

Joseph sees a burst of fire come out of the cave.

"Wait... Snowfall's in there!"

Dropping everything, Joseph sprints over to the cave. Everything around him is burned to a crisp. He continues to run, while shouting, both mentally and physically.

"Snowfall? Where are you?"

'Snowfall, are you okay?'
