Shard sits on the floor to avoid burning one of the chairs with her wings.

*Joseph studies the chair skeptically, but decides to sit down*

"Who are you? What is this?"

[Battal]

"My name is Azcar Vorteth.  You probably have plenty of questions, to which I probably have the answers.  Simply ask, and you shall learn."

Shard waits for someone to speak. She has questions but can't talk.

[Luggs]

"Where are we for starters." Jack continued standing.

[Blewcheese]

"Okay... Where are we, and why are we here?"

*Joseph's mind becomes clustered with questions, and he tries to be patient*

[Battal]

"You're on the Islands, an alternate dimension created by a race of powerful demons to entrap and drain the souls of others.  They also use it to entrap those they need to be trapped.  Which leads to my issue."

[Blewcheese]

"Drain our souls...? That doesn't sound good. But please, go on. What's your issue?"

[Hugo M.]

"Who are you, or more excatly what are you?"

[Battal]

"Well...I don't know if I can trust you enough to tell you my problem.  First, I need you to do something for me.  Then, we will talk."

[gloryKAT]

Shard's tail sweeps across the floor, wagging, as she listens.

[Blewcheese]

"Well, I doubt I can do much with this broken foot. Do you have anything for it?"

[Battal]

Azcar hands Joseph his healing salve.

[Blewcheese]

*Joseph nods his thanks and uses the salve to treat his foot*

[Battal]

"Any more questions?  Or are you ready?"

[Hugo M.]

"Is there any chance, that we'll survive?"

[gloryKAT]

Shard wishes she could speak, but she deals with it for now.

 

Why I can't talk or why I'm this thing would be a good one, but then again, I don't know if anyone knows those answers.

[Battal]

"A very, very slight chance.  We are dealing with something extremely powerful."

 

"How old are you?" Asks Battal.

 

"I'd say...four hundred.  They wouldn't want you to just die in an unentertaining way, now would they."

[Blewcheese]

"They? Who's They?"

[Battal]

"Don't really know."

[Blewcheese]

*Joseph snorts*"I thought you said you could answer our questions. Why were we brought here?"

[gloryKAT]

Shard barks silently, under her breath. She wishes she knew what she is, but she figures she won't find out.

[Battal]

"I said I can answer a lot of your questions, but not all.  There are many things we don't know.  But I do know you're here for Them to suck out your soul.  And, for entertainment."

[Blewcheese]

"We? Is there a city? Or any civilization at all?" As Joseph learns the answers to his questions, he begins to feel more and more hopeless.

Shard snorts. Obviously, she wouldn't get an answer. There was no dirt for her to draw in, either. She grumbles to herself and lays down on the floor with her head on her paws.
