More plant husk usages

Right now, plant husks collected as a byproduct from regular crops are mostly useless.

You can compost them, but by the time you reach Farming Level 3, you'll already have much more efficient ways to produce dirt.
You can use them to make plywood, but most methods of obtaining Resin are either complicated or not efficient enough.
You can also feed them to Moos, but that's a late-game use.

Wouldn't it make sense to add more early-game uses for plant husks? For example, they could be burned directly as fuel (without first turning them into plywood) or converted into ethanol using a distiller.
