New Golf Minigame obstacles are beautiful, let us build them freely!

The new golf minigame has a TON of obstacles you can place on it, all of them with beautiful art. Wooden sculptures of plants and creatures, a numbered banner that can be cycled from 1-9, all sorts of flat-to-the-ground elements that appear like rugs, it's amazing! The catch is, though... since they're free to craft, these can only be placed directly inside the bounds of this small rectangular golf course. Any attempt to place obstacles outside of the course --or in fact, placing normal structures inside the course-- will result in an invalid red indicator that the structure cannot be built there.

I understand the thought process here, they're free to build and don't serve any non-golf fuctional purpose, but really, the art on these is stunning, and they cover so many different themes across the game. I would really really love to be able to build them outside of the confines of this small rectangle, and I'd love the option of placing regular structures inside, too. The walls and fences are just as pretty, after all!

Personally I think it would be fair if the obstacles took tickets to build, but could be placed anywhere. With varying prices from obstacle to obstacle, this would not only give a sense of progression to creating your custom course (as you couldn't make your dream immediately and then be done forever), but it'd increase the number of rewards significantly, since all the course elements double as base decorations.

oh klei, PLEASE let us buy "replica" obstacles with our tickets. i love almost all of these (sorry ham bat, your brothers are prettier than you) and i want most of them for road markers, for cave exit markers, for garden borders, for base decor, to make my boat prettier, as a contents-sign for the kitchen and to make the pig villiages cheerier!
