Wilson needs some basic science perks, in addition to his Beard perk. I believe it could be something simple, but useful and related to science. Here some ideas I propose:

  • Gunpowder. Crafted / lighted by Wilson explodes always into 3 sec and deals 25% more damage. Has 40% chance to craft double and 10% to craft triple amount.
  • Blueprint. Use a Cartographer Desk to craft bp from known sciences recipes.
  • Compass. Use to mark down a place in the map when is dropped (lose durability).
  • Lightbulb. Light Bulb fuel that Wilson add has +50% fuel value.
  • Dissection. Use a Razor to dissect a caught mob (not bugs) to obtain its total loot (50% chance on stale stage, 80% on spoil stage or 100% chance when mummified). Duplicates Naughtiness.
  • Plague Doctor. Craft  a Wide-brimmed hat with a leather beak mask and red glasses (inmune to acid rain and miasma). Recipe: Batilisk Wing x3, Straw Hat x1, Red Gem x1. Last 4 min or 10 uses. While worn (sanity reduces 20/min) healing ítems cures 25% more and crafting healing items will be duplicated (only science filter), reducing it's durability by 10% with every duplication.

Mad Scientist Lab new experiments

  • Natron. A substance to dry food instantly or to mummify mobs. Recipe: Salt Crystals x2, Marble x1, Ice x1.
  • Phosforus Sun. A chemiluminescence substance into a flask. Can be use as light bulb fuel (90 sec). Recipe: Bone shard x1, Flint x1, Ice x1.
  • Aqua Vitae. A substance to add new freshness to dishes. Recipe: Nitre x1, Ash x1, Honey x1.
  • Aqua Regia. A throwable corrosive substance into a flask. Deals 3 damage every 1.5 sec during 2 min. Recipe: Rot Egg x2, Ashes x2, Sanity -10.
  • Nitro. A throwable explosive substance into a flask. Recipe: Charcoal x3, Nitrate x3, Sanity -10. Deals 400 damage.
  • Boosternate. Add this substance to a Booster Shot to increases 25% health upon default (but decreases 25% hunger and sanity) during 3 days. Recipe: Desert Stone x1, Ice x3.

Of course, I also have my own version of skill tree, which includes science perk related to fire (torch), electricity (beard) and medice (alchemy).

 

TORCH TREE

  1. Torch Range. Light range increases to 5 units.Torch provides 30% wetness resistance.
  2. Torch Longevity. Increases torch durability at 8 min. Torch is not affected by rain.
  3. Torch Burner. Torch’s flame turns green color. Can refuel the torch with biogas (biomass or organic waste fuel) using: Cut Grass, Cooked Caps (red, blue, green), Weeds, Petals (dark or foliage), Succulent, Rot, Spoiled Fish, Manure or Guano. Can use Nitre on a setted Torch (refuel up to 90s) to turn it into an Endothermic Torch with blue flame turns and cools at -40° (level 4). Can use Nightmare Fuel (refuel up to 180 sec) to turn it into a Night Yorch (black flames and sanity aura -3/min).

LOCKED SKILL (PREREQUISITES 3 TORCH SKILLS).

  • Torch Toss. Current perk plus: Torch provides sanity aura +2/min and increases speed 20%.

 

BEARD TREE

Beard Insulation. Beard allows 3 coats. Use a Razor to remove them (loose).

  1. Beard Insulation. Can coat the Beard with Beefalo Wool to add 20% insulation for 9 days durability per coat.
  2. Beard Coats. Can coat the Beard with Beeswax to add 10% water resistance for 6 days durability per coat. Can coat the Beard with Steel Wool to add 5% defense (-0.05 damage taken) for 3 day durability per coat.
  3. Beard Shield. Beard provides defense (1% / 3% / 9%) per stage.

Beard Growth.

  1. Beard Growth. Beard growths in 3/6/15 days.
  2. Beard Tonic. Beard growths in 3/6/12 days. Beard Hair is strong enough to craft a Rope (Beard Hair x3).
  3. Beard Whip. Beard growths in 2/5/10 days. Wilson can use the static electricity into Beard Hair to craft an Electrical Beard Whip. Damage 25.5-42.5, 75 uses, range 2. Recipe: Beard Hair x9, Electrical Doodad x2, Moleworm x1.

LOCKED SKILL (PREREQUISITES 3 BEARD SKILLS).

  • Beard Storage. Allows to store unstackable items in the beard instead of food (1 slot per stage).

 

ALCHEMY TREE

Ore transmute branch. Animation: 50% probability to produce sparks with every transformation and Ashes in addition.

Ore Transmute I. Transformation recipes:

  • Rock - Flint (current recipe).
  • Nitre - Gold Nugget (current recipe).

Ore Transmute II. Transformation recipes:

  • Cut Stone - Marble - Moon Rock (current recipe).

Ore Transmute III. Transformation recipes:

  • NEW RECIPE. 2 Moon Rock to 1 Moon Shard.
  • NEW RECIPE. 2 Desert Stone to 1 Salt Crystals.
  • NEW RECIPE. 6 Thulecite Fragment to 1 Thulecite. 1 Thulecite to 6 Thulecite Fragment.

Gem transmute branch. Animation: 50% probability to produce a thunder with every transformation and Nightmare Fuel in addition.

Gem Transmute I. Transformation recipes:

  • 2 Blue Gem to 1 Red Gem (current recipe).
  • 2 Red Gem to 1 Blue Gem (current recipe).
  • 3 Desert Stone to 1 Purple Gem (NEW RECIPE).

Gem Transmute II. Transformation recipes:

  • 3 Purple Gem to 1 Orange Gem (current recipe).
  • ENHANCED RECIPE. 2 Orange Gem to 1 Yellow Gem.

Gem Transmute III. Transmutation recipes:

  • ENHANCED RECIPE. 2 Yellow Gem to 1 Green Gem.
  • 6 gem each color to 1 Irisdescent Gem (current recipe).

Icky transmute branch. Animation: 50% probability to produce a cloud (like burning Manure) with every transformation and Wet Goop in addition.

 Icky transmute I. Transmutation recipes:

  • Morsel - Meat (current recipe).
  • Hound’s Tooth - Bone Shard (current recipe).
  • 6 Rot to 1 Manure (current recipe).

Icky transmute II. Transmutation recipes:

  • Beefalo Wool - Beard Hair (current recipe).
  • NEW RECIPE. 2 Glommer’s Goop to 1 Honeycomb. 2 Honeycomb to 1 Glommer’s Goop.
  • NEW RECIPE. 3 Guano to 1 Slurtle Slime.

Icky transmute III. Transmutation recipes:

  • NEW RECIPE. 2 Walrus Tusk to 1 Volt Goat Horn. 2 Volt Goat Horn to 1 Walrus Tusk.

LOCKED SKILL (PREREQUISITES 3 ALCHEMY SKILLS).

  • Human transmutation. Can craft a Portable Meat Effigy (Homunculus). Recipe: Cooked Meat x4, Rope x1, Telltale Heart x1. A Telltale Heart given by Wilson will not cause reduction of maximum health by 25% but will not receive 80 sanity.

 

SHADOW AFFINITY (SEQUENCED TREE)

Shadow Courtier. Current Shadow perks.

  • Shadow Beard (UNLOCKED WITH 4 BEARD SKILLS). Can coat the Beard with Nightmare Fuel (sanity aura -3.3/min per coat): 1 coat will prevent loss the beard after dead; 2 coats will open a new slot to storage; 3 coats will spawn shadow tentacle (1 per beard stage) when hitted. Tentacles lasts for 9 seconds and attacking enemies (34 damage) within its range.

 

LUNAR AFFINITY (SEQUENCED TREE)

Lunar Innovator. Current Lunar perks.

  • Enlightened Torch (UNLOCKED WITH 4 TORCH SKILLS). Light of a setted Torch can be used as a Celestial Filter. An equipped Torch will spawn a Greater Gestalt, when player's enlightenment is above 85%, attacking enemies (42.5 damage) within its light range.
