The Switch version is locked to lower performance despite DST's very modest PC requirements in all the operating systems. The game lists only 1 GB RAM and low-end graphics requirements on Steam for windows, steamOS and linux, while the Switch has 4 GB RAM and a capable GPU. Has Klei ever explained the technical reasons for not offering an optional 60 FPS mode, at least in handheld mode or for smaller worlds?

I understand that maintaining stable performance in late-game worlds is challenging, but I would like an optional uncapped or 60 FPS performance mode. Players could choose between battery life and smoother gameplay.

I don't really care about long loading times, I'm used to my old Hard Disk loading times at games and it's ok for me. I just don't like to play the game at 30fps knowing that it could be optimized to run at 60fps most of the time.

I already saw some people with modded consoles removing the fps cap and the game ran at 60fps most of the time.

It would be so cool if Klei optimized the game to run at 60 fps on the original switch at 720p and 1080p on switch 2.
