ThisIsDodgy
This isn't a bug just a general statement about the Tidal Turbine. For start of game these things are great easy power and I love that we're getting new power options. That being said these things are intrusive and don't play well with base designing. It's sort of the same problem you can get with the volcanic activity trait where a volcano can spawn so close to your base setting up a starting base of any feasible organization is out the window. Having them on neutronium and unable to be deconstructed makes expanding infrastructure around your base challenging as well. These types of challenges can be fun but I tend to find them tedious I don't see it as a fun challenge to not be able to construct a good base design because an obsolete power supply is blocking me. Another problem I have with them is the low output. I know it's essentially free power and yes I understand it doesn't require duplicant inputs aside from the construction however if you take into account they're only active 50% of the time they only really generate 150w/s which is practically useless in the long term sustainability. These seem like they're more of a bootstrap to your power grid and not an intended source of power. What you grab when you need to quick start a build vs actually using to the end of the game. Okay, enough complaining some changes I could see to fix this. First you could make them push and pull operated so we actually get the full 300w and make it more worth having them. (You could still have a short pause as it's finishing consuming and starts expelling of about 1-2 seconds) This gives us the full 300w which makes these seem somewhat reasonable to keep around. Another option you could make them de-constructible. This seems like it's not intended but honestly I feel like removing it's neutronium base and making us build our platforms for them as well as giving us the option to remove them would make these not only useful but less obstructive. Potentially if option 2 is chosen give the option to construct our own using a new overlay that shows where springs could be tapped though this one is a lot and I don't expect it. Long story short I feel like these need some kind of change. They spawn so abundantly and sporadically that getting to manufacturing and having good power infrastructure is out the window with these things around. These are just my personal opinions though thanks for reading this.
